1. Scavenger Hunt Out The Window
If you haven't left your house yet, there are plenty of printable car scavenger hunts you can find online. But if you're already on the road with a backseat full of "are-we-there-yet" energy, here is a great list to have your kids try to spot as you drive:
Tall building | Cow | Police Car |
Body of water | Stop sign | Semi-Truck |
Bike | Store | Flowers |
Bridge | Dog | American flag |
2. The Letter Game
Look out your window for words that appear on signs or license plates, that start with each letter of the alphabet. The object of the game is to point out all the letters of the alphabet in order, from A to Z. The first person to spot the entire alphabet wins!
3. Would You Rather
Ask your kids these silly questions and wait for the giggles:
- Would you rather have hands for feet or feet for hands?
- Would you rather have to high-five everyone you see or hug everyone you see?
- Would you rather have an extra eye on your forehead or four ears?
- Would you rather cough bubbles or burp confetti?
- Would you rather only be able to get around by bouncing like a kangaroo or leaping like a ballerina?
- Would you rather be tickled by a vampire or licked by a werewolf?
- Would you rather sneeze uncontrollably every day for 10 minutes or get hiccups every day for 10 hours?
- Would you rather wear giant, floppy clown shoes for the rest of your life or a bright red clown nose that people keep honking?
- Would you rather wear a swimsuit in the North Pole or a snowsuit in the Sahara Desert?
- Would you rather live in an amusement park or a zoo?
